Sasha Banks (Mercedes Farnado) sparks a post-WWE future in acting, writing and music

Sasha Banks (Mercedes Farnado) is currently walking the runway alongside Naomi (Trinity Fatu) at New York Fashion Week, and has been keeping busy since she reportedly left WWE. It doesn’t look like it’s slowing down any time soon either, and in a new interview with Ahch-To RadioVarnado spoke a little about what her future holds in the fields of entertainment, acting and music. While WWE fans hope to see her return to the ring, it remains to be seen if that will happen, even with Triple H now in charge of WWE Creative, but no matter what happens with WWE, Banks is looking to do more things in the music world.

“There’s a lot to make right now,” said Varnado. “It’s all under an umbrella.” “I’m an extraordinary actor, writer, producer and artist. All in these worlds, I do something. You just have to keep an eye on me. You have a microphone, that’s a big thing I want to do. Not a podcast, but music. I don’t know if it’s the next number one thing because Acting… There are a lot of things coming into acting now. I’m really starting to focus my mind around the music and the music world and being kind of a director in the music video creation space.”

Another potential project for Varnado in the Star Wars universe, she played Koska Reeves in Season 2 of The Mandalorian. With season three approaching, many are hoping to see her return to the series, but nothing has been confirmed yet. With how popular her character ultimately becomes, odds are that she’ll make some kind of comeback when Season 3 finally comes.

During our previous interview with Varnado, she revealed that while she loved Star Wars early on, her first love was actually Sailor Moon, and she’ll make sure to catch every episode even if it means she needs to stay up all night.

“First thing it wasn’t Star Wars, it was Sailor Moon. When I was maybe five years old, I started watching Sailor Moon, and I had no idea what time or anything. He always showed up at 6:00 in the morning, but I’d stay up late. All night just because I knew he’d come out sometimes dark, and sometimes in the morning, I had no idea. But I had to stay up and watch my Sailor Moon because I thought I was just like Serena, said Varnado. And I was always late for school, and it really taught me how to believe in myself, my own strength, and the powers of the universe and the moon. So to this day, it’s still my favorite and I can’t believe how much it has played a role in my life.”

“But I remember watching Star Wars when I was a kid and I like little Anakin Skywalker because I was a kid too, so I don’t think I’m creepy, okay? He was so cute. I was like, ‘Look at that little eight-year-old, and I’m eight too.'” He is lovable. I wish he was my friend. And my brother liked Darth Maul, so I used to paint his face for Halloween and put a little ninjutsu ji on his head and wrap it something like, “Okay, you’re Darth Maul. Zoom in, zoom in, zoom in. Come on. “Then I loved wrestling in my childhood, and I loved wrestling,” Varnado said. “I was not obsessed with anything but WWE. This was my take on everything, as you can see. This was my career choice, and as I can tell, I’m one of the greatest characters of all time, so it’s just been a great ride. I think next on my list of things should be something with Sailor Moon. Then I’ll say, “Oh, what?”
